The Mr & Mrs quiz. A hen do staple – but the real question is: Emily, how well do you really know your husband to-be?

Emily was mesmerised by my moves across the dancefloor of Lola Lo’s on Clifton Triangle.

The morning after the night before...
3. Where was your first date?
The Botanist in Clifton.
4. When was your first kiss?
Either the dancefloor or after I did the gentlemanly thing and walked her home (and up the stairs into her flat).
5. What is the most romantic thing you have ever done?
Hmm…romance is not something I am renowned for. The proposal is an obvious choice.
But I would probably have to go for bringing her a bar of KPMG branded chocolate as a gift when we met for our first date.

9. On a scale of 1-10 how helpful have you been with wedding plans?
8….I’m going in strong. As official budget holder and keeper of “The Spreadsheet”, I don’t think it could be any lower.
10. What would your worst nightmare be on the day?
Family politics / drama taking over.
Or getting too drunk to deliver my speech.
I couldn’t tell you which is less likely to happen….
11. Which of your guests is most likely to embarrass themselves at your wedding?
My mum. Unless “Gail” turns up. Maybe both of them. That would be some combination.
12. What is worrying you most about the day?
Worrying isn’t something I tend to do very much.
Probably that the canapes will be all gone by the time we get back from having photos taken.
13. What is her favourite song?
It has to be a talent show special.
Britney – Stronger or Christina – Beautiful.
But she’ll probably try and play it cool and say something by Paul Weller.
14. What is she most scared of?
The woman who worries about everything. The Cotton Wool Club’s proudest member.
Something bad happening to the kids has to be up there….(she’ll now phone home to check they are ok).
15. What is your favourite film?
Star Wars
16. What is your greatest fear?
Karaoke. Not even a joke.
Closely followed by hosting a party (for fear that people won’t come).
17. What is your proudest moment?
Making two babies. Sharp shooting.
18. If you could only eat one dinner for the rest of your life what would it be?
Roast potatoes. Cooked by Emmy. Nice and crispy. Bit of gravy. Nothing else needed.
19. What is your favourite part of her body?
Rack
20. What are you most likely to argue about?
Me being lazy / sleepy. Or an untidy house. Depending on which one of us starts the argument.
21. What piece of her clothing do you dislike the most?
Tough call between the enormous nighties or the Primark cotton pants. Couldn’t split them. Especially as they are often worn in combination.
22. If she could throw away one of your possessions, what would it be?
My phone.
23. Where in the world would she most like to visit?
Maldives.
24. What is her worst habit?
Leaving cupboard doors / draws open.
Closely followed by general messiness.
25. What is your worst habit?
Having my hands down my pants (to check there is something still there…nothing dodgy!)
26. What would be the one thing she would save from a burning fire (apart from kids)?
Her diary. It is paper and falling apart, and she wouldn’t survive without it. One day I might succeed in converting her to move out of the stone age and use an online booking system!
27. What is her most embarrassing moment?
Tripping over thin air and falling flat on her face, outside of a KFC, walking back to her flat after our first date. Clearly my sheer aura made her weak at the knees.
28. Where do you want to be in 5 years time?
Debt free. To match Emily.
29. What one change would you like her to make when she becomes a wife?
To relax, and dedicate some more time to herself.
30. What one change would she like you to make when you become a husband?
To spend more time at home. Although she doesn’t seem to particularly like it when I am around.
31. What are you looking forward to most about marriage?
Getting to go on honeymoon.
