Norfolk isn’t the easiest place to get in and out of – so we’ve added some handy hints below. Scroll a little further down, and we’ve listed a number of local taxi firms. If you plan to get a taxi, be sure to book in advance – there’s no Uber in these parts.
Midnight is kicking out time.
If you’re arriving by car, set your SatNav to:
Oxnead Hall
Oxnead
Norfolk
NR10 5HP
When you’re nearby:
– Pass under railway bridge and bear right around the bend to Tuttington
– Continue over the River Bure bridge (care needed – poor visibility!)
– Pass Oxnead Mill on your right, then Oxnead House and take the next road on your right to Oxnead Hall
– Please then follow the signs through the farmyard to the parking area.
There’s plenty of parking available in a dedicated car park at the venue – just follow the signs when you arrive.
If you’re travelling by train, we recommend arriving into Norwich station and grabbing a taxi or a lift from there (about 30 mins).
There’s a taxi rank right outside for black cabs, but you’ll get a cheaper fare if you call and book in advance.
This is not a typo – Norwich does have an ‘international’ airport. For those travelling from the South West, a flight from Exeter to Norwich can be a genuinely effective option for both cost and time.
From the airport, it’s a 20 minute cab ride to the venue.
You’ll also find Holiday Inn and Premier Inn hotels right next door – pure convenience.
On your return, watch out for the infamous ‘airport development fee’ though – a £10 charge per person before you’re allowed to go through to departures.
