FAQs

Your one stop shop to Wallington Wedding success – here you can find everything you need to know.

From getting here in the first place, to the type of flowers you’re allowed to throw at us, and how to get home at the end of the night.

And if your question isn’t answered, please do get in touch and we will be happy to help.

Parking

If you’re driving, there is plenty of parking at the venue. There will be signs to guide you when you arrive, but go continue down the driveway past the main gates. The car park is at the bottom of the gardens.

The car park is not secured overnight, so be sure to take any valuables with you.

RSVP

Please make sure you have RSVP’d by 30th April 2019, so that we have plenty of time to make our final arrangements.

Use the menu at the top of the page, or click here to find the RSVP form.

Weather

The wedding is in October, but who knows what that means for weather these days! The majority of the day will be indoors, so you can be sure your shoes won’t get muddy and your hair will stay in place.

But the gardens at Oxnead are stunning, so if you want to enjoy them with us (our photographer has already warned we will be embracing the weather, whatever it may be!), then come prepared.

Gifts

The greatest gift you can give us is your presence. Yep, it sounds like a massive lump of the smelliest cheese – but it’s true.

Your time, pretty faces and glorious energy is what’s going to make our wedding magical. If you do wish to give us a gift – a contribution towards our honeymoon would be the icing on the cake, and would help us create even more memories that you’ll be a part of.

Dietary requirements

The chefs at Oxnead are awesome and we can’t wait to share the menu with you. If you have any specific dietary requirements, then please do you let us know in advance (using the space on the RSVP form) and we will do everything we can to make sure you are catered for.

Midnight McDonalds will have to be under your own steam though. The nearest is at the airport, a 20 minute taxi ride away!

Taxis

A reminder that there is no Uber in these parts. And we can’t guarantee phone reception out in the sticks either.

So please make sure you book a local taxi in advance. Check out the Getting here page for a list.

And for the party animals amongst you, we have to close the doors at midnight.

Arrival time

If you are with us for the day, please aim to arrive no later than 1:30pm so that you can take your seats in time for the ceremony to begin at 2pm.

Evening guests, please arrive at 7:30pm and in the mood to drink and dance from start to finish!

Children

As much as we love all of your little ones, we have decided to make it a day for grown-ups. So please plan for babysitters.

We thought we better make a special exceptions for our daughters, Isla and Martha, and our nephew, Rafi, who will be on flower girl and page boy duties, respectively. So if you feel like you aren’t getting your daily dose of childcare, feel free to take a turn looking after one of ours!

Contact us

Wedding planning has certainly had us in a spin. So if you have got a question that we haven’t thought to answer, let us know and we will add it to the list above.
